The Aid and Care is a U.S registered 501(c)(3) public charitable organization that executes its mission focusing on the following areas:
- Orphan Care: Foster care, Sponsorship and Scholarship
- Education: Building Schools in rural areas
- Health Care: Fight THAMPODS
- Community-based programs: Build water wells for clean water.
Aid and Care, Inc evolved its mission from the legacy and vision of the " Lost Boys of Sudan" whose facts of their life story encourage a human need and compassion to the deed of giving and reason for giving to others.
Our dedication is simply to transform lives of those in troubles; by providing the physical, educational and emotional needs for the well being of abandoned children, orphaned, and vulnerable people-mainly wars survivors in East Africa starting with South Sudan.
Aid and Care vision is the premise that every person has the right to live and grow in a stable and healthy environment,with great care and love, which can be met through the above programs.
Saving vulnerabl orphans and children from un-protected to projected lives and educating them is the heart of our mission
Our current goal for 2012 through 2013 is to secure the funding for, and begin building, our urgent needed projects: Putting Orphaned youth in high schools and colleges in Uganda and a combined school in Makuach village in South Sudan.
By the end 2013, we aim to finish the construction of a facility for schools which for so long has been operated under trees or traditional building made cheap materials easily collapse during raining seasons and killed children and teachers. Once we complete these ventures, fulfilling the dreams of the students and orphans at Makuach Central School, we intend on replicating our successes throughout the countryside, constructing and managing schools in South Sudan and we will be able to extend it to other countries already mentioned in other pages..
Through the realization of these schools, we are rebuilding and reinvigorating one community and one village at a time.
Our approach
Our innovative method of simultaneously addressing these needs offers a holistic approach that focuses on the needs by vulnerable and orphans children and encourages leadership, social inclusion, and development. Because Aid and Care founders lived in hardship, struggles and in the end become successful because they obtained education opened their eyes for a beter life and future, they believe that every abandoned children and orphan must meet the same. The schools we build will help children garner the cultural and education framework that improves their futures through their own hard work and self-efficiency
- By building schools for orphans and children, we intend to provide a free premier education that holds the children responsible and accountable for their studies in order to ensure the highest of academic and ethical standards.
- Aid and Care works to bring peace and break the cycle of poverty through education, health care, and social needs
- Through Orphanage and Health care project, we strive to alleviate human suffering, to protect life and health, and to raise awareness for the most vulnerable people such as orphans, women, disabled people and refugees.
- Through designated programs, Aid and Care envisions to be a model and catalyst from which the most unprivileged individuals meet unmet, immediate and emerging needs for their hope and better future.
- The school offers a safe and nurturing atmosphere where students excel and develop essential life skills, improving their decision-making and communication abilities.
- Most importantly, the Foundation will meet children’s nonmaterial, developmental and psychosocial needs: love, guidance and counseling, psychosocial support, reproductive health education, life survival skills, and protection.
- The school gives orphans an opportunity to express themselves, providing marginalized children with a much-needed voice to share their emotions and begin the mental healing process.
- The Aid and Care delivers results, ensuring school attendance and providing the material possession necessary for the orphans and children to succeed in class.
- Lastly, the Aid and Care’s school offers positive transformations and ongoing support for all the orphans. We will continue the long-term relationships we have with all of our students, supporting the orphans through their studies in primary and secondary education to self sufficiency.
