More about Dominic

   Dominic Diing has been speaking about his life story, child soldier, refugees life, wars and genocides in Sudan. He has been involved in community activities and human rights activists in the United States for the past 8 years. In 2002, Dominic co-founded the Lost Boys of Sudan Foundation in New York to help funded the lost boys education and medical expenses. He served as vice president of the foundation’s board. Two years later went to Niagara University where he pursued his undergraduate degrees and moved to Buffalo, New York in 2007.Through one of his night’s dreams, Dominic realized that it was time for him to reverse his life story to serve his people and community in Southern Sudan.

   Dominic s love for children, his personal history, and a dream came true gave him the inspiration and sense of urgency to rescue orphans, abandoned children, rebuild war-torn region of Southern Sudan and raise awareness about their vulnerability. Like so many Southern Sudan families, Dominic’s family was struck by wars, famine, diseases, and natural diseases. Twenty-one members of his immediate family have lost their lives to war, diseases, famine, and natural disasters: his father, brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, and other extended families and in entire regions of Southern Sudan, leaving millions children and women in the family orphaned and widowed

   In June 2006, Dominic founded the Aid and Care with the hope of raising the awareness and funds needed to build clinics, schools, orphanage’s homes, and to support women and other abandoned people.
