He had lived in a refugee camps in Ethiopia and Kenya for 14 years. He taught Art, Music, and English in refugee schools in Kenya. Dominic began his teaching career at age 18 years old in Kakuma Refugee schools and he taught more than 50% of over 5,000 lost boys and girls arrived in the United States and those still in the refugee camp. He came to the United States in May 2001 and was resettled in Syracuse, New York. He is now residing in Buffalo, New York.
